Just like Water Bears this is a nice puzzler to sink your teeth into. For me it took a little more than an hour to finish all the standard levels, then there are user made levels but I have not dived into those yet.The puzzles themselves ramp up nicely, new pieces are introduced and then used in more advanced constellations. The world itself feels very coherent, it fits well together, has nice audio and animations, a non-spoken journey through the world across the levels. All in all, if you like beam based puzzles, this should be well worth your coin :). This is one of the best games to be played in VR! 1) It has a nice, beautiful and calming style with good looking graphics and sounds. 2) Interaction with the objects is natural (like in real life) and the behavior of the various objects are easy to understand, but still require thinking to be used correctly to solve the puzzles.3) During the game the puzzles get more and more complex, but since it just feels so natural it is easy to continue playing and finally discovering the solution is really satisfying.4) The whole family can enjoy this game as it is easy to understand, has a very easy control scheme and since you are simply in another room/dimension where all locomotion is done by walking inside the boundaries of your play area without any artificial motion or teleportation there is no way anybody can feel any discomfort. This game is highly recommended to anyone who likes puzzles and/or wants to show the power of VR to the family!. Check out the full review @ https://vivereport.com/2016/09/27/carpe-lucem-vr-a-steam-punk-puzzle-paradise/" This game is sensory heaven – the visuals and the music just melt into each other like butter on fresh toast."Your goal is to manipulate different colors of light that flow from suspended vials. You have to direct the stream toward mechanical flowers of the same color. Tools consist of mirrors, separators, converters and mixers, which all look straight out of a mad scientist’s lab from the Industrial Revolution — brass cogs, gears, coils. You get the idea. Once all color streams are matched to flowers, you move on to the next puzzle. What’s great is that the light spectrum combinations are actually spot-on.. It's a VR game that you can play standing still. You basically drag and drop objects to direct the flow of different coloured energy beams. You have to alter the colour of the beams to solve the puzzles. The default mode in Seize the Light does not rush you. The game forces you to think outside the box almost from the beginning. I like it a lot.. Carpe Lucem - Seize the Light VR is a virtual reality puzzle game where the player bends, blends, reflects, and redirects brands of light in order to progress. Each puzzle consists of a set of light emitters, a variety of artifacts for the player to interact with (directly, via applying light, or both) and a set of color-coded receptors, all of which must generally be activated in order to solve the puzzle. Everything is suspended in midair in front of and around the player, delineating a zone where she can move around, inspect the problem, think about solutions, and try things out. Each group of puzzles is surrounded by a unique environment, brightly colored yet soothing. The music and sound effects are soothing as well, combining with the visuals to produce an almost meditative atmosphere. The main game is fairly short - I only spent a few hours playing through it. However, it also supports Steam Workshop and features a builtin puzzle editor, so there's plenty more potential enjoyment to be had untangling new problems or devising your own puzzles with which to bedevil your friends.Carpe Lucem is a tantalizing taste of the future of VR puzzle gaming.. Its beautiful and quite fun. Try it out
